Wolfburn Northland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Released in mid 2016, the distillery's first whisky, the standard expression (previously simply called Wolfburn) is aged a minimum of three and a half years in used Islay quarter cask barrels. It's this dram that has received considerable praise from a number of the whisky trade's heavyweights.

Tasting note: Very pale straw colour. Lean and lighter styled aromatics include scents of cracker biscuit, cereal, dried grass and hints of pepper. Entry is delicate, vanilla wafer-like. Mid palate is bolder, spicier, grainy, medium dry. Finish adds light malt sweetness plus suggestions of hay and wax. A pleasing aperitif style that bears resemblances to a blend. Non chill filtered. 46% Alc./Vol.
