The inaugural offering in a new series replacing Master's Keep, the Archives Collection introduces another line of collectible, limited-release bourbons. 'Gold Foil Edition' is crafted from barrels primarily aged in Wild Turkey’s Camp Nelson rickhouses. The facility's unique climate and airflow create a richness and depth essential to achieving the bold, mature profile that Bruce Russel was aiming for. ...Austin Nichols Archives is set to replace the company’s long-running Master’s Keep series (which the 2025 release was priced at $300). There’s no ignoring the fact that the Gold Foil Edition’s price is high, pushing the high end segment of the major Kentucky distilleries' pricing tier to new levels; it's at least somewhat justified. Wild Turkey very rarely releases bourbon at this age and proof, and as a throwback to what has now become a renowned and perhaps even romantic era of the company’s past, few who make the purchase will be disappointed at the bourbon that’s delivered. Hopefully, Wild Turkey takes a page from this release and also does a 12 year old version, emphasizing more sweet fruit notes, and can charge less for Wild Turkey fans out there.
