Waubs Harbour Stout Cask Limited Edition No.2 Single Malt Australian Whisky (500ml)

This is the greatly anticipated sequel to the hugely popular Stout Cask Edition One, which sold out in under an hour via the distillery website. A collaboration with local legends, Tom and Phil from the local boutique brewery, Bicheno Beer Co. sees their Imperial Stout aged in x-Waubs Harbour whisky casks. New make spirit from Waub's that started out in ex-Tawny Port casks is then refilled into the empty Stout casks. The result is a big, bold, juicy single malt whisky with notes of plump sultanas, salted toffee & dark chocolate, summed up by the Head Distiller as "dark cherry ripe in a glass". 618 bottles make up the release at 59% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. *May contain a trace of dairy from the stout cask maturation.

Notes from the producers... Nose: Salted toffee, well aged tawny, cinnamon, star anise, creamy bittered stout. Palate: Salted toffee, caramelised waffle cone, woody sultana, citrus orange with the bitterness of the dark chocolate. Finish: Evolving aged woody port bouncing off the dark chocolate bitterness. Think dark cherry ripe.
