2017 In Dreams Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose offers up elevated white peach, subtle dried honey and nectarine aromatics infused with flint followed by some biscuity oak and citrusy nougat notes. Medium bodied, there’s ample richness to the fleshy white peach, ripe nectarine and dried honey flavours which impart a creamy textural feel to the palate. Ensuing are elements of smoky gun flint, biscuity oak and spicy nougat. Finishes dry with a balanced freshness. Medium to long spicy white peach, ripe nectarine, dried honey, gun flint and toasted biscuity oak aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.

The 2016 was impressive but this 2017 is a step up. Made by Nina Stocker.
Just beautiful. This is chardonnay going for gold. It has plenty of oomph too; nothing wimpy here. Peaches, pears, grapefruit, nougat and cedarwood. Both variety and oak get a good unashamed workout. There you go. Quality, nailed. Drink 2019-2024.
