This deep gold coloured Anejo conjures frail aromas of incense and potpourri alongside menthol tobacco and lavender honey. Brief air contact reduces the bouquet to oak shavings. "Aroma: Strong oaky presence (wonder if they used a heavy or full heavy char), sweet notes: vanilla, caramel, molasses, maple syrup. Dried fruits/raisins. Light agave. Flavor: Whiskey, barrel spice, butter (texture), dates (that was first time I detect that fruit flavor on a tequila, really liked that!). Chocolate and nutty notes in the profile.
