The Lark Distillery Dark Lark 2026 Release Single Malt Australian Whisky (700ml)

What started as an exclusive for the Dark Mofo Winter Arts festival in Tasmania is now an annual, special release. The latest instalment in the series is No.166, now in Lark's new 700ml bottles. Fortified casks bring added richness to the dessert-styled malt which was taken down to bottling strength using smoked water - a contemporary whisky-making touch distinctive to Lark. As the packaging suggests, this whisky is intended to be enjoyed after dark! 43% Alc./Vol.

Notes from the producers... Opening with delicate lemon shortbread and wild strawberry, the aroma unfolds into blackcurrant jam and orchid blossom. Gracefully layered with berry custard and espresso gelato, deepening into dark chocolate covered cherries and sticky figs. A lingering warmth of peach crumble and almond meringue gives way to toasted marzipan and soft honey, moreish and silken.
