The Glenturret 2024 Release 10 Year Old Peat Smoked Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

2024 saw Glenturret near the end of its peated stocks, so if you're a fan of this style, it's essential to buy up now as the peated whiskies are discontinued as of 2026. Managing Director, Jennie Baernreuther says the decision to ditch peat was largely influenced by marketing challenges abroad. Some drinkers outside of Europe and the U.S. were confused by the distillery’s peated expressions. “When they like peat, they tend to go straight to Islay and they don’t really know about Highland peat,” she explains. “It’s very difficult for people to understand what it is, let alone be likely to choose Glenturret’s peated [whiskies].”  The decision to stop using peat also aligns with Glenturret’s ongoing sustainability efforts to reduce carbon emissions. 48.4% Alc./Vol.
