Glenlivet Founder's Reserve Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The is the whisky now replacing the Glenlivet 12 Year Old, and named in honour of the distillery's founder, George Smith (not to be confused with the 21 Year Old which shares its title). Expect a mild malt, typical of the house style, with other flavours imparted by first-fill American oak. 40% Alc./Vol.

Tasting note: Bright brassy gold. Fragrant and fruity malt with a toasted marshmallow accent. Medium bodied, clean and nicely defined with delicate poached pear fruitiness. Aperitif styled towards the finish with suggestions of pepper, wood and marshmallow in the aftertaste. Improves on the 12 Year Old, demonstrating that age statements aren't everything! 40% Alc.Vol.
