Single Malts of Scotland Director's Special Bunnahabhain 44 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Here we have another quadruple decader from Bunnah', only this time hand-picked from a single cask with a yield of just 492 bottles. Bottled without chill filtration or colour additions at a natural cask strength of 42.4%, anticipate a wonderfully complex dram. According to the bottlers, its aromatic range includes fresh fruits and confectionary, with plums and quince battling caramel and bubblegum while ginger spices marry the underlying biscuit malt character with gentle floral notes. The palate is described as juicy, and expectedly honeyed, with touches of wild meadow, damp cedar wood and tobacco. Also beautifully presented. Very limited stocks.
