Shinobu The Shin Mizunara Oak Finish Pure Malt Japanese Whisky (700ml)

This amber gold coloured whisky offers lovely rounded aromas of Ovaltine, stewed plums and orange zest followed by hints of dried coconut and vanilla. Chewy and full bodied, one senses a sherry matured element included here; Richer and more supple than Shinobu's malt and grain blend, it also shows overall better balance. The finish is malty then crisp and finely tannic, fading with the same delicate sweetness found in the other bottlings. 48% Alc./Vol.
