Tasting note: Aside from traditional gin botanicals, Stew and Chris Reid include three locally foraged ingredients here: manuka, horopito and kawakawa. The latter is a relative of black pepper. The bouquet suggests forest floor, lavender potpourri and light citrus. In the mouth it's medium dry and peppery - especially at the finish. The aftertaste follows with hints of eucalyptus, menthol rub and bay leaf. Distinctive and vibrant. 42% Alc./Vol.
