Distilled from majority corn and rye and aged at least four years, the aromas are drier than its lower strength sibling, presenting carpenter’s workshop, fresh oak shavings, light cocoa and budding vanilla sweetness. Somewhat restrained, this gathers momentum in a layering of dry, woody notes swell as rolling tobacco, dark chocolate with a touch of red berry and liquorice root. Lots of warming spice and astringency through the finish. Mature, but some may find the wood too much. Batch 001 tasted. 58.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
