Raymond Ragnaud Reserve Rare Cognac (700ml)

Showing breed and sophistication, the deep copper coloured 'Reserve Rare' aims to balance expressive younger Grande Champagne brandies with the richness from older vintages. Ragnaud avoids the use of additional sweeteners or traditional boise, adding to the naturalness. Instead of the more typical orchard fruits, you get nectarine, ripe canteloupe and wood spice aromas to the fore. It's easily approached to the point of being dangerous - also seamlessly integrated with attractive notes of dried fig, honey and apricot mingling with dried flowers, ginger, sweet cigar box and rancio. Nectarine and white peach rebound late. Demands patience to reveal its full range, but this would be a wonderful end to an evening's meal. 40% Alc./Vol.
