Ployez-Jacquemart Extra Brut Rose Champagne
Ployez-Jacquemart Rose is produced from a blend of 37% Pinot Noir, 13% Pinot Meunier and 50% Chardonnay grapes sourced from Premier Cru and Grand Cru vineyards. A small amount of the red wine is vinified in oak.
A fine plentiful mousse holds well over a salmon pink tinged base that’s finely threaded by an exceptionally persistent stream of tiny bubbles. Inviting peach and winter strawberry scents intermingle with yeast lees, raspberry and subtle chalky mineral notes. Delightful winter strawberry and raspberry fruits burst across the mouth watering palate showing excellent intensity. Subtle yeast lees, ginger, sherbet and chalky mineral characters flow onto the dry refreshing finish. The crisp aftertaste long, gently textured and vivid. Delicious.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
A firm and well-knit rosé, pleasingly crunchy in texture, with a delicate range of white cherry and strawberry fruit, pink grapefruit pith and salted Marcona almond notes. A fine and lacy aperitif. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. Disgorged November 2020. Drink now through 2024.
