Philipponnat Royale Reserve Rosee Brut Champagne
Open-knit and inviting, the 2008 Royale Réserve Brut Rosé is an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Pinot Noir plays an important role in this distinctly vinous, rich Rosé. The soft contours and slightly forward aromatics suggest the 2008 is best enjoyed over the next handful of years. Still, readers should expect a fairly intense Champagne with plenty of red stone fruit and blood orange inflections, along with the considerable resonance of Pinot Noir, which makes up 75% of the blend. Dosage is 9 grams/liter. Disgorged: October 2014.
