Overeem Distillery "Man of Promise Reserve" Single Malt Australian Whisky (700ml) - 2023 Release

The fourth Man of Promise Reserve is the first time the distillery has offered a marriage of Sherry & Bourbon casks. Three casks, to be precise, hand-selected and blended by founder, Casey Overeem. Bottled at an approachable ABV, this single malt is released around December to compliment Christmas desserts. While not reaching the hedonistic heights of last years, the 2023 edition retains a lovely cinnamon, gingerbread and fruit mince pie character that builds at the finish giving a genuinely festive feel. Notes from the producers...  Aromas. Vanilla, candied orange, nutmeg, marzipan & brandy soaked sultanas. PALATE: Rich oak & spice, charred fruit (peach, nectarine, pineapple), vanilla custard, pecans & chewy caramel. FINISH: Long and rich with flamed orange oil, burnt toffee and spice.
