Old Hobart Distillery Overeem Bourbon Cask Matured Single Malt Whisky (700ml) - First Release

A limited edition of only 170 bottles, with bottle number 001 recently selling at a silent auction for $2500. This is Overeem's first Bourbon cask release, bottled only a month prior to the Lark, Overeem merger.

Furthermore, we are inclined to point out that this may well indirectly signify a milestone in the distilleries history and genuine collecting opportunity.

Tasting note: Bright gold colour is flawless and pure. Plenty of personality in the aroma as sweet malt integrates with cocoa, vanilla and gobstopper in the initial pass followed by some attractive estery notes in the second phase, in particular white peach, nectarine and hints of banana cake. A light entry follows through to a semi-sweet, silk textured mid palate that’s fruity-yet-dry and balanced by a delicate spicy flourish. The attractive nectarine / banana cake notes return at the fade. Shows excellent length. 43% Alc./Vol.
