Naud XO Cognac (700ml)

Made at Naud's famous 'hidden distillery' in the middle of the woods in the Cognac region. The family firm now run by Jean-Michel and Pierre Naud create this expression using some of the oldest spirits in their archives. A multi-region blend and easily the darkest XO we've tasted (comparable to a sherried single malt), it offers aged character at an entry level price. The aromas open sweet and woody, followed by moderate scents of dried apricots, figs, cinnamon and pipe tobacco. The savoury, light to medium-bodied delivery hints at figs and prunes, followed by a dusting of wood spice, suggestions of leather armchair, warming cinnamon, walnuts and rancio. Give it plenty of time to show its best. 40% Alc./Vol.
