Pirie Traditional Method Sparkling
A Tassie Sparkling with good length, crisp acidity and a dry chalky finish.
A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this sparkling forms a foamy white mousse which fades into a pale straw coloured base that’s finely threaded by a steady bead. Citrus, baked bread and pear aromas are trailed by some yeast lees and subtle chalky notes. Well meshed flavours of citrus, apple, baked bread, yeast lees and biscuit grace the mouth watering palate which is sculptured by crisp acidity. Showing good length and tension, it has a dry chalky finish.
Alc. 12%
Other Reviews…..
A great-value blend of 55% chardonnay and 45% pinot noir from the Tamar Valley. Pale straw with energetic, fine bead and mousse. Notes of crunchy green apple and citrus fruits with the gentle lift of autolysis showing hints of brioche, apple turnover, crushed stone, white flowers, shortbread and distant fennel tones. Expansive with lovely biscuity tones, tight, minerally acidity and a crisp, dry finish of great vitality.
