Moondah Brook Maritime Dry Red

Medium weight with crimson mauve, purple colour. Dusty Cabernet nose with a hint of confectionary, tea leaf and berry flavours. Youthful. As it turns out the wine is a blend of Cabernet and Shiraz. The palate is short and hard. Starts off with a hollow then is followed by some by some liquorice and raspberry flavours. The tannins are quite firm for the youthful fruit. Dry and lingering with green tea leaf flavours re emerging on the aftertaste. Cellar 1-2 years.
