Mombasa Club Gin (700ml)

Made since the 19th century in England, the story goes that this nostalgic gin brand was shipped to the British population in Zanzibar, which today consists of the African country Kenya. There, it was almost exclusively consumed by the members of a private social club located in the coastal city of Mombasa - the place where the bustle of modern civilisation meets the magic and mystery of the exotic African world.

Today this label finds new life as a small-batch London Dry gin made by Thames Distillers in London. It's produced from four times distilled neutral grain spirit and hand-selected botanicals including Juniper Berries, Angelica Root, Coriander Seeds, Cassia Bark and others, then shipped to Spain in bulk where it's reduced in strength and bottled. It's a classically juniper-forward style with a citrus/herbal finish, summed up as " a real London Dry, perfect for making aperitif cocktails or mixed drinks". The packaging is first rate.
