Alongside Ardmore, Inchmoan is setting the standard for young, smokey Highlanders having received some glowing reviews, with an older release rated 95 points in Jim Murray's 2022 Whisky Bible. This one litre travel-retail edition comes with the added bonus of being bottled at 46% with zero chill filtration. If you don't already know, Loch Lomond produces a variety of spirits styles. Inchmoan is the peatiest, sometimes weighing in at a whopping 50ppm. The majority of the liquid comes from the Inchmurrin stills with the addition of some Loch Lomond pot still distillate for complexity - so Inchmoan is more a unique style of distillate as opposed to a seperate distillery with its own history.
