Loaded Barrel Small Batch Series Single Malt Australian Whisky (500ml)

Looking like a heavily sherried Highlander, this whisky comes matured in a range of casks, including x-Shiraz and Serbian oak. The nose sets dusty cocoa and dry wood against biscuity malt and vanilla; the palate richer and more giving with the sweetness of American oak threading through the creamy mouthfeel. Finished by lively spices and alcohol warmth, there are gently grippy tannins with hints of toffee and late vanilla in the rebound. A tiny dash of water is all that's needed to soften and further fuse the flavours. Batch #166 lands at 45.8% Alc./Vol.
