Lark Distillery Forty Spotted Gin (700ml)

Tasmania, AUSTRALIA
$79. 99
Bottle
$959.88 Dozen
ABV: 40%

Named after the Forty-spotted Pardalote, the island's rarest bird, and produced at the Lark Distillery, this gin matches traditional gin botanicals with Tasmanian pepperberry. Tasted from a 20ml sample, the nose suggests lemon meringue and lime peel over light juniper and hints at white pepper. It's reflected in a pure, uncomplicated, creamy-textured profile with an attractive lemon / lime accented finish. Use this as an all-purpose mixer or in casual G&Ts. 40% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... This gin is pretty floral and slightly perfumed, think lavender and violet, followed by a whiff of sweet orange, berries and juniper. The palate is spicy, with soft juniper notes. Overall it's pretty clean, but it would've benefited from a little more balance. 78 points - distiller.com
