Located in Chiba on the coastal outskirts of Tokyo, Yoshida Shuzo was established around 1830 and produces sake mainly for local supply. Being very particular about the quality of the rice milling they perform all polishing in house, with the junmai taking around 8 hours, while the ginjo takes around 18 hours.

Tasting note: Water white in the glass. Displays a fragrant fruit driven nose with plenty of honeydew melon, white peach and nashi pear. Very much a rich and inviting sake on the palate. Soft and full flavoured showing the melon and stone fruit from the nose, along with a caramel sweetness to finish. Enjoyable style that will suit a range of food, even holding up to spicier dishes. Serve chilled.
