Kinglake Distillery See Ya Later Alligator Cask Strength Single Malt Australian Whisky (500ml)

Kinglake have a passion for ex-bourbon aged malts. Most ex-bourbon barrel aged whisky leaves the level 4 bourbon char (known as Alligator) intact. However this cask was shaved out and given a very heavy toast instead. The result is a whisky that has vanilla and butterscotch flavours derived from the wood itself. It's still very much an American oak finish but with a more subtle sweetness and a greater emphasis on the underlying spirit. 61% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
