Tasting note: An agricole rum finished in Delamain Cognac casks after 9 years in x Bourbon barrels. Brilliant topaz colour. Medium dry aromas suggesting caster sugar, fruit mince pie, raisin slice, vanilla, oak shavings and later, hints of Turkish Delight. A green, caney profile. Plantain? Dried grass? Follows with a soft surge of rum sweetness, white pepper warmth and vanilla oak. Ends delicately bittersweet, caney, mildly tannic and dry. Rewards re-tasting. 41.2% Alc./Vol. 939 bottles.
