Some rate Highland Park's 21 year old as one of the distillery's very best expressions. The unusual age statement was first created for the Duty Free market and comes in two variants, this and another being a 40% ABV bottling. This is the more sought-after because of the higher strength, making for a full flavoured, powerful and sweetly smokey Orkney experience. Released in October 2007, it was also named Best Single Malt of the Year at the World Whisky Awards 2009, making it all the more desirable. 47.5% Alc./Vol.
