Glenrothes 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Number three in the new 'Soleo' line up is this 18 year old, matured in sherry casks, the majority of which were first-fill.

Tasting note: While the nose remains a little shy, this offers classic sherry led aromas and flavours of dried fruits, orange zest, ginger and forgivable hints of sulphur. It's superbly juicy, mouthfilling and succulent with genuine polish and poise, while the length also steps up a notch on the 12 year old. The standout in the Soleo collection so far. 43% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... Spicy on the nose, with deep, full tropical fruit notes, praline, and marzipan. The palate is silky, with fudge and raisins, then cherry liqueur. The finish yields dark chocolate and citrus fruit, plus peppery oak.
