Glengyle Distillery Kilkerran Work in Progress 3 Bourbon Wood 7 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Pale straw / gold. Gentle wafts of smoke compete with the fruity malt until the attractive apple / pear notes win over. Develops a briny edge after five or so minutes in the glass while the oak takes back seat. A wonderfully soft, round entry leads into a delicious fusion of plum pudding and restrained peat. Cereal and cocoa emerge towards the finish which is keenly dry. Peaty afterglow. Very appealing. 46% Alc./Vol.
