A scientist by training, Glenfiddich Malt Master, Brian Kinsman has a natural affinity for innovation. With this, his first 'Malt Master’s Edition', he offers the first Glenfiddich to be double matured in two different casks- first traditional oak casks, then Sherry casks. Flavour profiles will vary from batch to batch.

Tasting note: [Batch 01/11 tasted] Pours a deep brassy gold colour. First passings offer rich, sweet aromas of glace cherry, vanilla and clove followed by a trace of sulphur. Aeration offers more dried fruit notes that are beautifully integrated into the malt. The palate entry is sweet and silky; by mid palate it becomes loaded with spices accompanied by firm, drying oak. Traces of sweet malt and dried fruit sneak through towards the finish. Warming spirit. Concludes with light toasty vanilla notes followed by a delicate dried fruit aftertaste that’s a little short. 43% Alc./Vol.
