Part of Glenfiddich's new 'Experimental Series', Glenfiddich Project XX (pronounced ‘twenty’) is a vatting of twenty different casks, including Port pipes, Sherry butts and first-fill Bourbon casks, each chosen by the brand’s twenty global ambassadors. A collaborative marketing exercise, each ambassador selected a cask from the distillery's warehouses that best represented their personality. The casks were then blended together to create a NAS, non-chill-filtered expression bottled at 47% alc./Vol.

Struan Grant Ralph, global brand ambassador for Glenfiddich, described Project XX as "...a one-of-a-kind whisky which is unmistakably Glenfiddich in style, but with the complexity and depth imparted by 20 different barrels of varying size, shape, wood type and origin."

Other reviews... One of two initial releases in Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series, this is a non-chill filtered expression. A vatting of twenty casks, including first-fill bourbon, sherry butts, and port pipes. The nose is fragrant and faintly oriental, with vanilla, Jaffa oranges, and apricots. The palate is full and sweet, with oranges and lemons, fudge, plump sultanas, milk chocolate, and tangy spices. Drying steadily to fruity oakiness in the relatively lengthy finish. 87 points - whiskyadvocate.com, reviewed by: Gavin Smith (Winter 2016)

All 20 involved should take a bow. This is Glenfiddich as it should be... xxcelent, in fact!
