Funky Pump London Dry Gin (500ml)

Produced in the Austrian Alpine valley of Lechtal at the Lechtaler Haussegen Distillery. Mario Huber is better known for his fine brandies, however he's now ventured into gin. It took him more than a year before he perfected the final result, which is made using centuries-old techniques and local botanicals macerated in grain spirit.

While the ingredients aren't disclosed, it reportedly strikes a nice balance between fruity-floral-herbal notes. Very distinctively packaged in a stand-out bright blue bottle and bold screw cap resembling a gas bottle top or tap handle.

Tasting note: Clear. Lovely integration of Indian spices through the juniper and bright citrus notes – a touch of mint and lemon thyme too. A medium bodied gin with attractive lemon gelato, light juniper and chamomile flavours. Very clean, tangy, warming and peel-like to finish. 45% Alc./Vol.
