Fleurieu Distillery I Am the Walrus Single Malt Australian Whisky (700ml)

A smokey addition to the Fleurieu range, made using peated barley from Crisp maltings in the UK. Aged in second fill 100L Apera barrels, the nose offers aromas of sweet, sooty malt with a touch of oiliness. Soft and silky in the mouth with hints of bbq rub and cured meats creeping in at the finish, the smoke feels like it's brushed on in delicate layers. This could be mistaken for young Ardmore or even Bruichladdich. 330 individually numbered bottles. 48.4% alc/vol.

Notes from the producers... Colour – golden amber. Nose – light sweet on the nose with subtle peat aromas. Palate – lovely sweet malt entry on the front that continues through to give good length and balanced with sweet peat. Finish – lingering smoke and delightful soft finish.
