Filliers Distillery is situated in a small rural village called Bachte-Maria-Leerne, in Flanders, Belgium. The company has been distilling Gin since 1880. It now also produces Goldlys Whisky making it the first distillery to begin maturing whisky in Belgium.
Carefully batch distilled in small copper stills and employing 28 botanicals, this unusual expression is then barrel aged for several months in 300 litre x-Cognac barrels. The insides of the casks receive a medium char. 43.7% Alc./Vol.
