Other reviews... [Batch 10 tasted] Amber-walnut color. Deep, mature aromas of wood spices, mint, molasses, and dark, candied fruit. Thick and mouth coating. Flavors of molasses, mint, leather, dark fruit, leading to a very long, very dry wood and spice finish. The oldest of the Ezra Brooks line, and a very mature expression. Some might find this whiskey a little too woody and dry. Otherwise, there's plenty of character and complexity to entertain the palate. 49.5% Alc./Vol.

Ezra Brooks Bourbon is distilled at Heaven Hill Distillery but the label is owned by the Luxco Spirits Company, whose more well known brands in Australia include 'Rebel Yell'. The portfolio is considered a value buy in Bourbon circles and is a genuine sour mash; aged naturally in new charred white oak barrels and charcoal filtered. Numerous bottlings are presently available on the American market.
