Tasting note: The Brana company sources William variety pears from its own orchards. Fruit is fermented in stainless steel vats under temperature control. Distillation is carried out in copper pot stills. This crystal clear Eau de Vie presents with the palest turquoise blush and offers fresh, pure and intense aromas of perfectly ripened stewed pears, apple crumble, almond flan and hints of clove and cinnamon. Entry is soft and light, intensifying at mid palate with medium-dry stewed pear flavours accompanied by delicate spices, in particular clove and cinnamon. Excellent length. Ends crisply dry with ripe pear, apple peel, almond flan and sweet spices lingering. Like biting into a piece of fruit. Superb. 44% Alc./Vol.
