El Dorado Single Barrel ICBU (Uitvlugt) Demerara Rum (750ml)

'ICBU' was the marque used to identify rums from the Dutch owned Uitvulgt Distillery. While Uitvlugt continues to operate as a sugar refinery and producer of molasses, the equipment used for rum production reportedly ceased operation in 2000. (Not surprisingly, Uitvulgt's have become quite collectible). The still was subsequently moved to the Diamond Distillers Estate. Now a working piece of Caribbean history, this original continuous four column French Savalle still continues to produce distinctive rums under the El Dorado label. This one is from a single cask. 40% Alc./Vol.
