One of the oldest Ballechins to date. Because of its age, the peat will probably be better integrated and less aggressive than younger bottlings - or it may not! The marriage of bourbon and sherry cask matured whiskies aims at balancing out the coastal peat with oak spice, dark fruits and chocolate. In short, a mature peated whisky at cask strength for a price that shouldn't scare you away. Arrives at a hearty ABV of 57.8%. Non-chill filtered.
