D1 Daringly Dry Premium Cut London Gin (700ml)

The newly established, London based D. J. Limbrey Distilling Co. employ a narrow cut of triple-distilled grain spirit for their strikingly packaged 'D1' gin. The company was set up by Dominic Limbrey, who has a passion for premium gin and a background in design and production for international markets. Botanicals include angelica root, cassia bark, coriander, citrus peels, liquorice, almond and nettle (selected by a master tea blender), as well as juniper. Limbrey has made every effort to stand out in a crowded market place with a floral skull design on the bottle, made by contemporary artist, Jacky Tsai (originally made famous by Alexander McQueen) - an iconic motif that ensures a strong shelf presence.

Limbrey adds: “We are re-defining super-premium gin by combining traditional British distilling craft with branding based on London couture for people who love gin and those who wouldn’t consider a traditionally or heavily botanical-led gin. Our innovative design and smooth versatility will enable people around the world to enjoy D1 London Gin in a way that reflects their individual taste and style. Tasting note: Crystal clear. Very pure and integrated opening scents offer an attractive citrus and juniper lift followed by hints of thyme, coriander and faint anise. Light and creamy in the mouth with super soft texture and well harmonised flavours of lemon myrtle, citrus peel, white pepper and coriander seed. Concludes medium long with lemon myrtle gelato and light pepper aftertaste.
