This youthful, bright gold Southern Highlander is the peaty alter ego of Loch Lomond - an otherwise light and fruity malt. Mainly thanks to indies, Loch Lomond are really beginning to make a mark with their various styles (Inchmoan, Inchmurrin, Inchfad, Croftengea & Rosdhu). Claxton's are offering a very young Bourbon matured expression. While not as coastal as something like Ledaig or Laphroaig, Croftengea is invariably a fine and smoky distillate, even when young - something akin to a good Caol Ila. 50% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
