Although the original Jura was founded in the early 1800s, the rebuilt operation is now a classic 1960s distillery, one of many that emerged in that boom period. According to Cadenhead's, a light smoky character can be found in this oily textured whisky, accompanied by flavours like applewood and vanilla developing into meaty notes (salted beef), juicy prunes, mango and fruity chewing gum.
