Bunnahabhain 21 Year Old Cask Strength 2025 Release Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Over the past five years, Bunnahabhain have released an annual cask strength bottling in both 12 and 21 year old age statements. These special releases offer fans their own "unfiltered warehouse moment", capturing the magic of tasting straight from the cask in the distillery's coastal warehouses. Sweet sherry can quickly overpower whisky, however there are, of course, some excellent PX finishes, especially when not from first-fill casks. This should be one. Like last year's edition, it spent most of its life aging in x-Oloroso casks before undergoing a final 21 months in Pedro Ximénez casks. The result is everything you’d come to expect from Bunnahabhain with creamy berries, roasted nuts and gentle sea spray at the forefront, complemented by a complex yet sweet syrupy layer from the sweet sherry casks, that coats the palate with lingering bursts of figs and molasses. 53.1% Alc./Vol. Non-chill filtered.
