Bruichladdich Octomore 08.4 Masterclass Virgin Oak Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Bruichladdich has released the eighth edition of its Octomore series with Head Distiller, Adam Hannett, compiling a unique Masterclass of four expressions called ‘Octomore Eights’. The concept is to allow enthusiasts to compare and discover ‘What makes an Octomore what it is’. According to the Hannett, "8.1 is a benchmark, the 8.2 is for risk and provocation, the 8.3 is a challenge for the senses and a real Islay monster and the 8.4, The “Gamechanger”, changed everything so far."

This is an 8 year old whisky, peated to 170 ppm. 80% was originally introduced to American oak, first-fill ex-Bourbon casks, before being transferred into European virgin oak that previously held Octomore 07.4. Described by the bottlers as "Refined and confident" adding, "a little extra age has tempered some of the vitality but it's gained a classic, timeless feel." Limited to 12.000 bottles world wide.
