Boizel Brut Reserve Champagne

A blend of 55% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier that includes 30% Reserve wines. Pours with a fluffy white mousse that shows good hold. Very fine and profuse bead with a pale straw/gold base colour. The nose has good intensity and complexity with aromas of yeast lees and baked bread dominate over some toast, roasted nuts and citrus. Quite full and rich in style the palate features creamy textured flavours of baked bread, toast and yeast lees followed by some citrusy dried honey characters and brioche. Clean dry finish with good refreshing acidity. Long yeasty baked bread, toast, cashew and citrus aftertaste. Tasted from a bottle disgorged in July 2015.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
