Beenleigh XO Rare Rum (700ml)

Vatted from 2014 x-Brandy casks and 2013 x-Bourbon barrels and matured for almost a decade in the tropics, this sleek, semi-sweet, medium-bodied rum delivers attractive, keenly balanced flavours of creamy soda, icing sugar, cinnamon and light marzipan set against fine astringency. Fruit cake, ginger snaps and light molasses come through in the aftertaste. Reminiscent of Venezuelan styles, it feels like more column still than pot still is in the mix. 2022 release tasted. 3000 bottles are on offer. 46% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... The rum itself is fantastic with a toffee caramel honeyed flavour with sweet dried fruit tones and a nice smooth finish even though it does come in at 46% abv and there is no added sugar. 9/10 - rumratings.com
