Barrell Craft Spirits BCS Armida Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

From a run of approximately 3000 bottles, 'Armida' is a blend of three Straight Bourbons finished separately in Pear Brandy, Jamaican Rum and Sicilian Amaro Casks. It began as an experiment, searching for barrels with flavours and aromas that might compliment Bourbon. More than a year later, we have a whiskey that delivers ripe, floral pear notes, leading into hints of spice and arid citrus derived from the Amaro casks, followed by the toasty bourbon itself. This melange is framed by the ripe, tropical sweetness found in rum finished whiskeys. In short, Armida is a journey for the palate: complex and satisfying. 56.23% Alc./vol.

The nose is highly fruity and herbal, almost gin-like with notes of mint, grass, lemon and lime, pineapple slices, and wild strawberries. The palate is candied with Smarties, Runts, and mango. The finish is more of the same with lemon-lime candies.
