Bache Gabrielsen American Oak Cognac (700ml)

Cognac, FRANCE
$94. 99
Bottle
$1139.88 Dozen
ABV: 40%
Tasting note: Made using Ugni Blanc fruit from Fins Bois, this is a first of its kind Cognac: Initially matured in Limousin oak, for the final six months, Cellar Master Jean-Philippe Bergier selected Tennessee oak barrels for a finishing touch. You get some of the aromas associated with brandy such as raisin cake, prune and dried apricot, but compared to Bache's other VSOP, this is softer and rounder with more honey and vanilla input, while remaining nicely balanced. Light to medium bodied with an easy-drinking mouthfeel, it ends with cinnamon, clove, fig and just a little heat. Launched in tandem with Bache Gabrielsen's push into the US market - which seems fitting - it may get traction with Bourbon lovers. 40% Alc./Vol.
