Ardbeg Renaissance is the final edition of the series that began with the 'Very Young' 6 Year Old. This final step on the path to peaty maturity has been released in limited quantities at cask strength. If it is at all imaginable, this is reputedly a deeper, fuller spectrum of Ardbeg which has been described as 'a supernova of aromas and tastes' and 'heady sophistication rising from the deepest peat'. Ardbeg Renaissance is also the first 10-year old Ardbeg that is entirely comprised of spirit produced after Glenmorangie's takeover of the distillery in 1997 - aptly named and a fitting end to the series.
