2025 Windowrie Sakura Picpoul Blanc
Shapely yet crisp and focused with lively acidity and a long saline edged finish.
Brilliant pale straw colour with green highlighted edges and a watery hue. Lime and green apple skin aromas jump out of the glass followed by some fresh herb and subtle stony mineral notes. Vibrant lime and green apple skin flavours decorate the palate with infusions of fresh herbs and a saline like minerality sitting underneath. Shapely yet crisp and focused it has lively acidity and a long saline edged finish.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.

This intriguing variety continues to impress. This example is from the Central Ranges in New South Wales and made in an organic style. The colour is a shimmering pale yellow, while the nose opens up with aromas of ripe stone fruits, apricot kernels, spices, almonds, sea breeze notes and a hint of beeswax. The wine is balanced, supple and exhibiting very good length with a fine line of acidity. Really impressive, this will drink beautifully over the next two to four years. Excellent value. Drink 2026-2030.
